A young man was shunned by his family and church, after contracting HIV/AIDS and he died very much alone, just his mom was by his side. This is a project in his name because everyone deserves dignity, love and respect. We are taught as Christians to care for the needs of our brothers and sisters.
"Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin." - Mother Teresa
The Dennis Project was started as a gospel outreach to the LGBTQIA+ community by a small group of believers from varied backgrounds. Straight, gay, allies, married and singles- We felt the need for an outreach because of the pain and hurt we had witnessed or endured by those inside the church and families, proclaiming the name of Jesus. We know that God loves us all and wants to heal those hurts and for each of us. We are to show compassion and be a vessel of healing for those who have felt these pains. No matter who you are, most of us have suffered ridicule and bullying by others- that is not okay. God wants you to feel loved, valued and respected.
